Epoxy Flooring

An epoxy coating turns a dull, dusty concrete slab into a tough, seamless, easy-clean floor that looks like a showroom. Preparation is everything: we diamond-grind the slab, repair cracks and pits, then build up the epoxy base, your chosen flake or solid colour, and a hard clear top coat. The finished floor shrugs off hot tyres, oil, chemicals and daily traffic, wipes clean with a mop, and holds its gloss for years in garages, sheds, workshops and commercial spaces.

What is epoxy flooring?

Epoxy flooring is a resin coating system applied over concrete to create a seamless, glossy, extremely hard-wearing floor. It is the finish you see in high-end garages, workshops, showrooms and commercial spaces: a deep, easy-clean surface, with decorative flake blended through it if you want texture and colour.

The system is only ever as good as the preparation underneath it. We diamond-grind the slab to open the concrete's pores, repair cracks and pits, then build the floor up in layers: an epoxy base, your chosen colour or flake broadcast, and a tough clear topcoat. That grind-first approach is why professional epoxy bonds permanently while DIY kits peel.

Why it's worth doing properly

For garages and work spaces, epoxy turns your most abused surface into your best-looking one.

  • Extremely durable: handles vehicles, tools, impacts and hot tyres
  • Seals concrete dust forever and wipes clean with a mop
  • Resistant to oil, fuel, chemicals and stains
  • Brightens the whole space by reflecting light
  • Slip-resistant options available for safety

What affects the cost

Every job is quoted individually after we see it, but these are the things that move the price:

  • Floor area in square metres
  • Slab condition: cracks, pits, old coatings and oil staining add preparation
  • System chosen: solid colour, flake blend or high-build commercial
  • Edges, steps and detail work
  • Moving contents: an empty garage is cheaper to coat

The only way to know for sure is a free, no-obligation quote, and ours are fixed in writing.

Common questions

How long before I can use my garage again?+

Light foot traffic is usually fine after about 24 hours and vehicles after three to five days, depending on temperature. We give you exact times for your job before we start.

Will epoxy work on my old cracked slab?+

Usually yes. We repair cracks and pits as part of preparation. Severely damaged or damp slabs need assessment first, which the free quote covers.

Is epoxy slippery when wet?+

Standard gloss epoxy can be. We offer slip-resistant additives and flake finishes that add texture, which is a good idea for steps and areas that get wet.

How does epoxy compare with tiles or polished concrete?+

Epoxy is seamless with no grout lines, more chemical resistant than most tiles, and far cheaper than mechanical polishing. For garages, sheds and workshops it is hard to beat.

How long does an epoxy floor last?+

A professionally prepared and applied residential garage floor commonly lasts 10 to 20 years. Preparation quality is the biggest factor, which is why we diamond-grind rather than acid-etch.
