Cabinet Wrapping

Cabinet Wrapping

Wrapping renews a kitchen, laundry or built-in without the cost, mess and weeks of disruption of a full replacement. We clean, degrease and key every door and panel, then apply premium architectural vinyl cut tight to every edge and corner for a smooth, factory-look finish. With hundreds of colours and textures available, from matte and satin to timber and stone looks, you get a brand-new-looking kitchen for a fraction of the price of new cabinetry, usually in a day or two.

What is cabinet wrapping?

Cabinet wrapping, also called kitchen wrapping or vinyl wrapping, is the application of premium architectural vinyl film to your existing cabinet doors, panels and trims. The vinyl is applied smooth and cut precisely to every edge, giving your kitchen, laundry or wardrobes a brand-new factory-look finish without replacing a single cabinet.

The films we use are the same class of product specified in commercial fit-outs and new builds: thick, resistant to minor scratches, and available in hundreds of finishes from matte and satin colours to convincing timber and stone textures. Applied to a properly prepared surface, they are extremely durable and easy to clean.

Why it's worth doing properly

A wrapped kitchen looks like a new kitchen, at a fraction of the cost, time and mess of replacing it.

  • Dramatically cheaper than replacing cabinetry
  • Done in days, not the weeks of a renovation
  • No demolition and no cabinets going to landfill
  • Hundreds of colours and textures, including timber and stone looks
  • Repairable panel by panel if anything is ever damaged

What affects the cost

Every job is quoted individually after we see it, but these are the things that move the price:

  • Number of doors, drawers and panels
  • Condition of existing surfaces: peeling laminate needs extra preparation
  • Finish chosen: premium textured films cost more than solid colours
  • Handles: keeping, swapping or upgrading them
  • A full kitchen versus a smaller laundry or wardrobe job

The only way to know for sure is a free, no-obligation quote, and ours are fixed in writing.

Common questions

How long does cabinet wrapping last?+

Quality architectural films are rated for ten or more years of indoor use. Real-world lifespan comes down to preparation and daily wear, which is why most of our time on a wrap job goes into cleaning and prep.

Can any kitchen be wrapped?+

Most can, but not all. Surfaces need to be sound: badly water-swollen or crumbling board cannot be wrapped honestly. We inspect first and tell you straight if wrapping is not the right call for your kitchen.

Is the wrap waterproof?+

The film is moisture resistant and wipes clean, and edges are sealed tight. Like any kitchen surface, it should not sit in pooled water.

Can I see samples before deciding?+

Yes. We bring physical samples so you can see and feel the finishes in your own kitchen light before committing.

What happens if a panel gets damaged later?+

That is one of wrapping's best features: an individual door or panel can be re-wrapped without touching the rest of the kitchen.
